Wednesday: Rhythm X 2010 Excerpt

Warm-up: Pick three rudiments and work on them off the left hand. Choose patterns that do not typically switch hands, such as paradiddle-diddles (LRLLRR) or 9-stroke rolls (LLRRLLRR).

Challenge: Learn this music excerpt from Rhythm X 2010’s show “Inspired.” Here is a video of the line playing the lick (starts about 0:50 in). Learn this phrase at 132 bpm, 152 bpm, and try to play it at 172 bpm. Have fun!

Post left-handed rudiments and experiences with the excerpt to comments.
